Honey Soy kebabs are an easy and delicious meal to prepare, yet they contain some lethal stain combinations from the honey, soy and oils. So follow our delicious recipe with added stain removal tips for stress-free cooking. And, as an added bonus, this recipe is nearly fat-free as we're using a sandwich maker!
Honey & Soy Kebabs w/ Wasabi
- 8 marinated kebabs. The aim is ease-of-cooking, so pick these up from your favourite butcher - you choose your meat & flavour
- 4 eggs, beaten in bowl
- Olive oil spray
- 1 cup of white rice - cooked however you please
- Wasabi paste & soy sauce
- A handful of sesame seeds
Cooking
Warm oven. Heat your sandwich press* and spray olive oil spray on top to grease. Pop in your kebabs and close the lid (it cooks both sides at once - what a miracle!) When cooked, turn over to uncooked sides. When done, put in oven until serving time. Meanwhile, pour beaten eggs into sandwich maker and close lid for 1 minute. Lift lid and use spatula to roll over the whole flat egg "crepe' onto itself like a wrap. Slice into thin ribbons.
Serving
Spoon white rice into bowl. Place kebabs on top, sprinkle with egg ribbons and sesame seeds. Mix a little wasabi with soy sauce and drizzle over the top. Serve with steamed broccoli - a delicious, easy and wholesome meal.
*If you don't own a flat sandwich press, a fry pan will suffice!
