Family Affair: Teach Kids how to do laundry!

Laundry can be a long and tedious house hold job that never seems to be finished, however more hands will make light work, this is why teaching your children at an early age will not only make laundry duties less of a task but will also help teach your children a life skill!

Step 1.

Invest in laundry baskets for all members of your family, one to go into bedrooms and one for bathrooms. Handy hint, buy baskets that have special dividers that help sort colours, whites and dedicates.

Step 2.

Invest in a small mesh bag for socks and jocks. These bags can easily be put into the washer and or dryer preventing that seeming always elusive sock monster in your dryer.

Step 3.

Show kids how to hang clothing, it can even be fun with the little ones, install rods at shield friendly height so hanging up clothing is easy and fun. This will cut down the timely task of laundry and will also make it fun with your children.

Step 4.

Invest in some small clothing pegs, attach to all baskets this will encourage all family members to clip pegs onto major stains saving you time sorting through laundry looking for that one tomato sauce stain.

Step 5.

Make a game out of returning clean clothing to draws ask your children to put away folded clothing.

Enjoy spending time with your little ones, and also help them with life skilled all while cutting your laundry time and chore in half!
