1. Distilled White Vinegar
Use white vinegar to pre soak your garments, add 1 part white vinegar to 6 parts water, leave garments to soak over night and wash as per usual. A softer alternative to bleach.
2. Oxygen based Bleach
A gentler approach to harsh bleach is an oxygen based bleach, such as EcoStore Pure Oxygen based Bleach, a safer, effective alternative to chlorine-based
bleaches with no enzymes or optical brighteners. Made from mineral salts and
plant-based ingredients derived from citrus and coconut.
The Oxygen Whitener can be used to pre-soak heavily
stained clothes and fabrics (including nappies), or can be dissolved and added
directly into the washing machine along with laundry powder. Works well in all
water temperatures - when the powder is dissolved it releases pure oxygen which
gently lifts stains without damaging the colour or strength of your fabrics.
3. Happy days in the Sun
Believe it or not but the sun is the best type of bleach and the best type of green you can get in the laundry. Saving energy, and your carbon foot print on the environment. The ultra violet rays from the sun bleach and disinfect your garments all while they dry. Try to avoid hanging darks in direct sunlight as they wont stay dark for long!
