Curtains can be somewhat expensive however a new and fun craze is to make your own. Why not make your old jeans as the centre piece great talking point in your home.
Lets get started! You will obviously need your old denim, scissors, sewing machine and a curtain rod for hanging. Not keen on making this yourself our seamstresses can certainly help!
Step-by-step
1. Cut denim into squares
You’ll need to cut up your denim items into squares of the same size (approximately 25cm x 25cm). For the best visual effect, try to get a mix of squares which contain front and back pockets, seams and plain fabric.
2. Arrange
On a table or on the floor, lay out your squares into a configuration you’re happy with (the size will depend on where you intend to hang it).
3. Pin, sew & hang
Pin and sew square by square to form rows. Then sew the rows together, making sure the seams line up, and, finally, hang according to your style of curtain rod.
