Elaundry Poll: Make Up Mad Stains!

For the past week elaundry has run a poll on the website asking which is your preferred or shall I say un preferred stain? To an un surprisingly answer from the first lady of laundry MUD was her choice, seeing as the move to the country wasn't all what they got but plenty of mud and rain along with it!

However you the lovely people of elaundry have also voted and it appears that make up has taken the top spot as Brisbane's Number 1 Nightmare Stain! And in celebration - I will try and relieve as much of the make up nightmares in exposing easy and simple techniques to eradicate this problem stain from your laundry room!

Mascara:

Start by treating the oily/waxy component of the stain with a pre-treater like Cinderella Stain Remover. Then rub with heavy-duty liquid detergent like Eco Store Concentrated Laundry Liquid or a paste made of powdered detergent and water. Scrub stain lightly and rinse in hot water. Next, wash in the hottest water suitable for the fabric using detergent and an all-fabric bleach like Eco Store Pure Oxygen Whitener to remove the dye in the stain.
