Firstly this is a tannin stain for all you normal non crazed laundry nuts a tannin stain is a plant component that often shows as a color in the final product. A fresh tannin stains can generally be removed by laundering the garment. Use a detergent in the hottest water recommended for the fabric. Hence, always check the care label! - I can not stress this enough and if you have read any of my previous blogs you will know this is the first step to take in stain removal and cleaning.

Never use natural soap in a bar or soap flakes because they make tannin stains more difficult to remove. Back to tea stains an older tannin stain may need to be treated with bleach. Chlorine bleach can be used on white garments and linens. Use color-safe bleach for colored fabrics. Of course I am going to stress check the care label first before attacking any garment with bleach!
If the garment is dry clean only,- you will only know if it is by checking the care label, point out and identify the stain to your professional cleaner bring it into elaundry because we love laundry and love looking after you! If you are using a home dry cleaning kit, be sure to treat the stain with the provided stain remover before putting the garment in the dryer bag.
