miraclesandhappiness1

After a summer of heavy-duty entertaining, your barbecue will be crying out for a good scrub.

What you will need:

Concentrated dishwashing liquid
Tub of hot water
Gloves
Dustpan
Broom
Stiff-bristled brush
Paper towel
Cooking oil
Kitty litter

How to clean a BBQ:

1. If your cooking plaits has a channel to collect grease, begin by sprinkling it with kitty litter
2. Once grease has been absorbed, sweep up the clumps using a dustpan and broom
3. Add a little concentrated dishwashing liquid to a tub half filled with hot water. Wearing gloves, remove the cooking plate, submerge in the tub and scrub with a stiff-bristled brush. Dry thoroughly with paper towel, then lightly coat with oil
4. Clean the dials, hood and exterior with a little concentrated dishwashing liquid mixed with hot water and dry with paper towel

Remember to keep your BBQ covered with a fitted cover when it's not in use to keep dirt and grime at bay.
