Ensure your wardrobe is Polished, Pressed and Pristine!
Erika Gibbs, founder of the London-based Practical Princess wardrobe service, has transformed the closets of women and believes disorganised clutter and hoarding comes between so many of us and great style.
"Only when a wardrobe is organised can you see what's missing and ensure it functions properly," says Gibbs. "Get everything out onto rails and go through it. You will soon be able to spot the repeat buys and what is lacking. Be disciplined: if you haven't worn a piece for a while, put it away, and if you don't miss it, sell it."
Her mantra is to only have the pieces that suit your lifestyle and the season in front of you. "I have a fantasy that I am a glamorous party girl, but I am much more boring than that, so I musn't buy any more little black dresses," she says with a laugh.
She suggests photographing your outfits for your very own look book, to make dressing more efficient and your wardrobe work harder. She also believes in making your closet aesthetically beautiful so it becomes as exciting to browse as your favourite boutique.
Finally, ensure everything is washed, ironed and ready to go. "That way you can be more choosy when putting your look together each morning," she adds.
This is where elaundry steps in! We make your clothes look beautiful, all you have to do is wear them.
